It also provides a programmable USART serial, 2-wire byte-oriented serial interface, 10-bit ADC with 6-channel, and SPI serial port. In addition, the device can provide 5 selectable power saving mode software and programmable watchdog timer with internal oscillator.
RANTLE ATMEGA328P-AU has an idle mode. This can stop the CPU while allowing the timer/counter, SRAM, USART, and SPI port which interrupt the system to be functional. The asynchronous timer continues to run in power-save mode. Thus, it allows the user to maintain the timer base while other devices are at rest. In power-down mode, the register contents are saving but the oscillator freezes. It can disable all chip functions until the hardware or the next interrupt will reset.
